What a month you have had Mr. Lukey!
First, Michelle, Michael & Emma came to visit from Florida - you got your first rejection from a girl!
Then, Meagan Cotter came to visit from Louisiana - and she just loved you! We were SO happy she came to visit so soon, we thought it would be at least a year before she got to meet you!
Then, Grandma and Grandpa came to visit for Uncle Ryan's graduation from BYU! You were so good during graduation - you even slept through some of it....until everyone would start clapping, it would scare you awake. Of course we were so busy we didn't get any pictures of you with your grandparents....I always forgot the camera! Amber did get a cute one of you and your great-grandpa though!
Then, just today Me, you, Kaitlyn & Amb all went to the Tulip Festival at Thanksgiving Point. We had such a great time!
You went through this phase for a couple weeks of making this super weird face. I can't get you to do it anymore...I can't decide if I'm happy or sad about it. It was so ugly, but so funny!
You can sit up on your own now - such a big boy! We took you to the Dr. today and he was impressed that you could do that on your own! You roll all over the place - and only sometimes get stuck against the furniture and such. You get so frustrated that you can't do everything you want to do. You reach for things, and usually nose-dive for them and then get mad that you can't sit yourself back up. And you are learning to scoot around to get to things. It is so cute.
(again with that weird face...)
(again with that weird face...)
You love to sit up in the carts at the store now - it was so funny, we went to Target and you braced yourself in the cart the ENTIRE time we were there. ha oh Lukey, just crack me up.
We went over and hung out with Caden and Colby this month and you got to play with a baseball bat for the first time ever too! Hopefully you'll learn to love to play with it - not just eat it.
You and Paxton are becoming the cutest friends too - you play with each other and totally remember each other. It is so cute!
Amber taught you the wonderful trick of how to stick out your tongue! You do it all the time now!
You also learned how to click your tongue...I don't have pictures or video of that, but you do it to get people's attention and to say hello. Funny.
You started moving in your sleep too...usually just to your side. There have been a few times we've gone in to check on you or get you in the morning and you'll be in some random position in the corner of your crib or something.
You've started having baby food too - this is a picture of the first time you had carrots. Notice that you are making that weird face again...
You can't really see it in this picture, but you had the cutest little argyle sweater for Easter.
Lukey, you are becoming more and more of a little boy and less of a baby every day. I can't decide if I love it or hate it. I LOVE seeing you grow and change and learn new things. You get so proud of yourself when you accomplish something you've been working on. At the same time, I miss those sweet little teeny-baby moments when you cuddle with me.
Your dad and I grow to love you more and more every day. You make us laugh constantly, and have brought us even closer together. Your laugh makes everything ok - I lose my patience with you and you just grin and it takes it all away. I love how funny you are when you get sleepy...you reach the point-of-no-return very easily. You laugh at everything and talk up a storm.
We love you so much.
Love, Mom and Dad.
oh and just in hopes that when you're 16 this will embarrass you - here's a picture of me, Amb & Kaitlyn all at the Britney Spears Circus Concert! That's right Luke - your mom is not as lame as you might imagine :)
